pdfDPartner is an inspection and diagnostic tool for PDF files that use DPart (Document Part) metadata as defined by ISO standards. DPart metadata allows information to be associated with specific pages or page ranges rather than the document as a whole. This is useful in workflows where a single PDF contains multiple logical parts, such as print workflows or large transactional documents. pdfDPartner makes DPart metadata visible in Adobe Acrobat and allows it to be exported to or imported from JSON for further processing.
DPart is a metadata hierarchy that can be present in a PDF file to provide additional information associated with pages or groups of pages.
With pdfDPartner, you can instantly see whether a PDF file contains DPart information and browse the complete metadata hierarchy directly in Acrobat. Clicking on any metadata entry highlights the corresponding page, making it easy to understand the structure and organization of complex PDFs.
pdfDPartner allows you to export the DPart structure into a JSON file that could then be used in other applications e.g. to simulate automated processes. It can also be modified and imported back into the PDF file to adjust the structure. Or you use the JSON format that is used by pdfDPartner to derive completely new structures that are then imported into PDF files that lack any DPart information.
